RTH Aviation Day Camp is in the history books! July 22-23, the Red-Tailed Hawks invited 60 rising 6th-12th graders to experience the world of aviation. The Friday Zoom session introduced youths to the history of Tuskegee Airmen, presented the F-35, and allowed them to engage with several aerospace industry professionals during a career panel. On Saturday, the youths headed to the Museum of Flight, Seattle, WA to fly in general aviation aircraft with RTH pilots, engage in STEM learning, and tour the museum. They learned about the fundamentals of flight, aerodynamics, and atmospheric factors that influence aircraft performance. They also enjoyed hands-on aviation activities in the Aviation Learning Center and a knowledge scavenger hunt through the museum exhibits.
