Impact! Saturday was a big day! The National WASP Museum in Sweetwater, TX opened an exhibit honoring 100 years of Black Women in Aviation. In addition, The Museum of Flight honored Harold “Mitch” Mitchell (USAF Maj Gen ret) with a Pathfinder Award for his creation of the Michael P. Anderson Memorial Aerospace Program. Red-Tailed Hawk Art Bridge collaborated with Red-Tailed Hawk Kim Ford to bring the Sister of the Skies on board with the National WASP Museum project to honor Black women in aviation. After a labor of love, several SOS members flew in for the celebration. Looking good ladies! That same evening RTH and Alaska Airlines showed up to celebrate with Mitch Mitchell at the Pathfinder Awards Gala. However, the best part of the evening materialized afterward when several students from Raisbeck Aviation High School stayed after the event for moments of mentoring and coaching long after the guest had left. #FlyHawks!
