On February 18th, the RTH February meeting was held at the Alaska Airlines Training Facility, WA—hats off to our host De Marco Best and the day started with the history of Blacks in the Royal Air Force and an engaging lesson on airplane flight controls.
Next, we divided the students into three groups that rotated through three experiences. While one group studied aircraft systems, another learned about the Artemis ROADS challenge, discussed the orbit of the Moon, and explored the creation of simulated Moon dust (regolith). The other group flew the Boeing 737 Max simulator and toured the Alaska Airlines building with De Marco Best. What a day!
