The RTH Aviation Experience, 21-22 June 2024, is in the history books. Friday’s career discussion and history lesson were held via Zoom and were open to a national audience. On Saturday, dozens of students visited Pearson Field (KVUO) in Vancouver, WA, for an aviation-related STEM experience.
The Zoom included an engineering discussion led by Barrington Brown, the history of Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., and a career panel consisting of an airport executive, a Horizon Air first officer, a USAFA cadet, a Boeing engineer, and a Boeing engineering manager.
The airport experience included a paper rocketry activity with our partner OMSI, a fundamental flight lesson, discovery flights with RTH pilots, and exploration with our partner, Airways Science for Kids, at the Pearson Education Center.
