Les Morris Award for Propelling Youth Programs

Millison D. Fambles was raised in Texas.  He is a graduate of UT’s Air Force ROTC program.  He flew as a Navigator on the AWACS and as a Pilot in Command on the C-141.  In 1992, he left the USAF to fly with Alaska Airlines.  He received the Alaska Airlines Legend award in 2006.

Millison believes strongly in giving back to the community and wants others to access the many career opportunities in aviation.  He has recruited countless individuals into airline professions through the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals and on Alaska’s pilot recruiting team.  In 1995, Millison started the Eagles Aviation Camp to expose underserved youth to opportunities in flying.  The Camp continues today and has sparked the interest and careers of many young people.
