Another Red-Tailed Hawk Soars! 15-Year-old Ishitha Arekapudi, accomplished her first solo glider flight at Arlington Municipal Airport, WA. Her ultimate goal is to become an astronaut! She accomplished this goal with help from our friend John Miller, CFI, and partner the Puget Sound Soaring Association (PSSA). Ishitha is crazy motivated, and we look forward to her performance in the 2023 Red-Tailed Hawks Flight Lesson for Youth (FLY). In the meantime, she is hot pursuit of her recreational pilot certification with a glider rating at the age of 16. Ishitha is busy. She is on the Red-Tailed Hawks’ ROADS on the Icy Worlds team studying Jupiter’s moon Europa and preparing to simulate a NASA mission to that moon. She is also a youth ambassador for our partner EAA Chapter 84. RTH invites more girls to experience the world of aviation. Mr. Miller has once, again, provided a gift certificate to fly with the PSSA in 2022. Watch this space! www.redtailedhawksflyingclub.org
