Red-Tailed Hawks FLY! the program closes out and five continue training in Phase II. Congratulations to our FLY Cadets! They completed FAA Private Pilot Ground School, participated in STEM lunch-n-learns, learned about historical figures and discussed aerospace-related career fields. Oh, did I mention, trained to fly an airplane?! It was a demanding two-week period during which each cadet learned practical applications of STEM, discovered things about themselves and applied new knowledge to new skills in the air. Five performed well enough to continue in the program and potentially solo. Two earned funding towards earning their Private Pilot certificates.

If you would like to be a 2019 FLY Cadet. Contact the Red-Tailed Hawks Flying Club at flywa.bpa@gmail.com.
