The RTH January Meeting Series was a hybrid experience held 21-22 January 2022. Thirty-eight participated via Zoom and 27 were hosted by Clay Lacy Aviation at Boeing Field. Friday consisted of PHAK academics covering Flight Manuals and Other Documents, an introduction to ROADS on Icy Worlds and Europa Project student presentations, and our “Business in Aviation” speaker James Miller, owner of Brazos Avionics. Saturday was in-person at Boeing Field with Clay Lacy Aviation and consisted of learning about Dr. Linkwood Williams, a flight instructor at Tuskegee during WWII, a team competition covering Flight Manuals, highlighting RTH success during the FAA Airport Design Challenge, discussions about career opportunities in business aviation and an amazing hangar tour. The students enjoyed an opportunity to sit in a Challenger business jet and imagine a future flying one. Hats off to our host Henry Thomas, Clay Lacy, and Jackie Spears (Mente) for opening the eyes of our students to the world of business aviation. The Pacific Northwest Business Aviation Association (PNBAA) is a sponsor of Red-Tailed Hawks FLY.
