Red-Tailed Hawks Flying Club (RTH) has fielded three teams for the Artemis Rover Observation, and Drone Survey (ROADS) challenge. RTH got a jump start with a research project on the Moon and NASA’s Artemis mission. Twelve students submitted research papers, and eleven presented them at RTH meetings. Today, eleven students perform in three teams to achieve nine mission objectives (MO). Teams Meticulous Moons (M&M’s), Artemis Mission Objective Gateway to United Space (MOGUS), and Scientists of United Space (SUS) engaged, enthusiastic, and working together to study and observe the Moon, replicate Moon regolith, design a rover wheel, build a terrarium and design a model of a closed system that will support astronaut long-term on the Moon… That is only through MO4! Five MOs to go.
The RTH Aviation Experience Brings STEM Joy to 50 Students. This annual 2-day experience, in June, introduced the world of aviation to Washington and Oregon students in grades 6-12.
